Welcome to the SMSC 2019-20 Recreation Registration!
This registration session will allow you to sign up for South Mississippi Soccer Club's Recreational Soccer 2019-2020 Season, complete your contact information and submit payment. This section will also allow you to register for the SMSC Arde Insurance Group Center of Excellence Academy program occurring the two months prior to the beginning of the soccer season. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account.
If you have never registered with SMSC before, you will be required to upload your child's birth certificate in a pdf or jpg format when prompted. So have it ready, please. Simply take a picture of it and upload.
Players in the 16U and 19U age groups will begin play approximately February 1st upon completion of high school soccer season.
If you are registering more than one player in your family this season, you will receive a $5 discount on the second (and third, etc.) child's registration fee. In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time. On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered within the same order.
***Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.***
This registration process will be using a credit card merchant account to handle all credit card transactions. Each credit card transaction will include a 3.5% transaction fee plus $1 per transaction. We recommend registering all your children at once to minimize the transaction fee and limit the per transaction cost to one.
It is our intent to provide a fair team selection process. We will sort athletes according to gender, age, practice location ( VA, Espy, County farm) and then schools according to our state rules:
1. Team Assignment Process: The member organization must use a player assignment method which creates teams in a given age/gender group approximating an equal age distribution of the total registered players in this group. Any team, whose actual assignment distribution from the upper-half of the age/gender group exceeds the organization's total distribution of the upper- half age group players by more than fifteen (15) percent, must correct the imbalance before the team may participate in MSA games.
The only special requests we will honor are the ones laid out by our state rules manual:
d. The children of the Head Coach and one Assistant Coach are the only players which are automatically assigned to the team;
e. Brothers and Sisters in the same age/gender group shall be assigned to the same team unless their parents or legal guardians request otherwise.
